San Diego’s MLS team sets up retail shop at Mission Valley mall

San Diego Football Club is expanding its reach with a new semi-permanent storefront at Mission Valley mall. The temporary store, named Eighteen Threads, is set to open on Sunday just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The store will showcase the team’s complete assortment of official merchandise, including the popular collectors pin and exclusive apparel items not available online. San Diego FC has signed a short-term lease for the pop-up store, which will remain at the Mission Valley mall through February, and possibly longer, depending on demand.
The team’s retail executive, Bruno Meli, expressed excitement for the new storefront and its potential to meet the high demand for San Diego FC gear following the successful brand reveal in October. The organization sold over $200,000 worth of merchandise in just two hours during the brand reveal, demonstrating the strong early enthusiasm for the team.
The most popular clothing item to date is the unisex white sweatshirt featuring the San Diego FC name on the front and the monochrome logo on the back, retailing for $64.99. The store will eventually offer interactive features, including games and other activities, to enhance the in-store experience for fans.
Eighteen Threads is located in suite 337 at the Mission Valley mall and will be open during mall hours. Prices for the merchandise vary, with t-shirts starting at $32.
As San Diego FC continues to grow and expand its presence, the new retail storefront at Mission Valley mall offers fans the opportunity to support the team and connect with the brand in a tangible way. With their official merchandise now available in a physical location, the team aims to build on the early enthusiasm and support from the community.
